Members and participants

A member is a person who belongs to your programme and accumulates points. A participant is someone who takes part in a campaign, whether or not they are a member. The UI calls members Members.

A campaign without a programme works with participants. A programme campaign works with members.

B2C and B2B members

A member can be an end consumer or a business (a pharmacy, a shop). They are managed on the same screen; what changes is the data you fill in and how you organise them.

How a member joins

  • They sign up themselves in the portal with a code they receive by email or phone.
  • You invite them from the panel.
  • They sign up from a campaign landing page.
  • You import them from a CSV file.
  • Another system (CRM, online shop) creates them through an integration.

Segments

A segment is a group of members who meet a condition, for example "members active this month". It is used to limit a campaign, target a message or filter reports. A member can be in several segments.

Segments are in Members & Programmes › Segments. They depend on your edition.

Organisations

An organisation is a node in a B2B hierarchy: a chain, a region, a shop. Members are assigned to an organisation and you can limit a campaign to an organisation and its descendants.

The same member can be in an organisation and in a segment at the same time. Organisations are in the Organization group of the menu.

Privacy

  • Members see only their own data in their portal.
  • Your team sees the members of your account, according to their role's permission.
  • A member can ask you to delete their data: see GDPR erasure.
