Organisations

Organisations group partners into hierarchies: a chain, a group, a branch. They are useful when the participant is a business (a pharmacy, a shop, a distributor) within a larger structure. Menu: Organization › Organizations and Organization › Organization types.

Availability

Organizations and Organization types permissions · Edition: all (Free, Starter, Pro, Growth, Enterprise)

How it fits together

  • The member is the one who participates and earns points. In a B2B programme, the member is the business.
  • The organisation is a node in the tree: it has an optional parent organisation and can have children.
  • A member can belong to several organisations at once. Adding it to one does not remove it from the others.
  • Campaigns are independent of organisations: a member takes part in several campaigns without its organisation changing.

Organisations are stored in your account's organisation-unit tree, the same one you see in Administration › Organization Units.

tip

If you only need to group by attributes (VIP members, active in the last 30 days), use Segments and criteria. Organisations are for genuine parent-child hierarchies.

List

The screen shows the tree with a search box (Search...) and Refresh.

Create / edit an organisation

Click Create New. Some labels on the organisations screen are already in English; they are quoted here exactly as shown.

An organisation cannot be its own parent or hang from one of its descendants. If you repeat a Code, IncentIA warns you that it already exists.

Assign members

  1. On the row, open Actions and click Manage members.
  2. In Assign a member, search by name, email, phone or code (minimum 2 characters), choose the candidate in Pick a member and its Role: Member or Admin.
  3. Click Assign.

The Members of list shows name, code, email, phone and role, with pagination. Remove removes only that link; the member's other organisations are unchanged.

Organisation types

In Organization › Organization types you define the business categories that you then choose in Business type (for example, Pharmacy, Distributor). Each type has a Name and a Description.

Use cases

PharmacyRoot: pharmacy group · Branch: each pharmacy (the member)
B2B retailRoot: chain · Branch: shop (the member)
DistributionRoot: distributor · Group: zone · Branch: local office (the member)

warning

When you Delete an organisation, its child organisations move up one level and the member assignments of that organisation are deleted. Members are not deleted.

  • There is no bulk import of organisations; they are created from this screen.
