Member attributes

Member attributes are custom fields for storing extra data about each member (for example, shoe size) beyond the standard profile.

Before you start
  • Route: Loyalty → Member attributes (/app/main/loyalty/member-attributes).
  • Permission: Pages.Loyalty.Members.Attributes. Without it the screen is read-only.

Create an attribute

  1. Press Create new.
  2. Fill in Key: lowercase letters, digits and underscores, starting with a letter. It cannot be changed afterwards.
  3. Fill in Name (what you will see on screen) and optionally a Description.
  4. Choose the Type: Text, Number, Yes/No, Date or Single choice. The type cannot be changed afterwards either.
  5. If the type is Single choice, enter the Allowed values, one per line.
  6. Tick Required if the value must always be filled in, and leave Active ticked to use it.
  7. Press Save.

Reorder, edit and deactivate

  • The arrows on each row change the order in which attributes are displayed.
  • Edit changes name, description, allowed values, required flag and status.
  • Deactivate retires the attribute without deleting it; tick Show deactivated attributes to see them and Activate to bring them back.

Relationship with dynamic properties

They are independent features. Dynamic properties (Administration → /app/admin/dynamic-property) are a generic platform mechanism for extending entities; member attributes are specific to members and managed here. You do not need to configure one to use the other.

Reading them from the API

The Management API exposes the schema at GET /api/v1/member-attributes. See Management API.
