User-generated content contest

Members submit a photo or a video, you approve the entries that can be shown, the community votes and, when the contest closes, the most-voted entries win. It is the UGC Contest campaign type (type 8).

No management screen in the panel

Today the panel does not let you create this type from the wizard or moderate entries: Create a campaign offers Game, Multiplier, Bonus, Challenge, Cashback, Instant win, PIN code and Raffle. Moderation and closing are done through the API (see below). Ask your technical team to set up the campaign.

Availability

Campaigns permission to view entries and Editing Campaign to approve, reject and close. The public gallery uses the UGC Contest Gallery landing block (Landing builder, Enterprise).

Contest flow

  1. The identified member uploads the content URL (photo or video) and an optional caption. The entry is left pending and is not public.
  2. Your team approves it (deciding whether it is shown in the gallery) or rejects it.
  3. Approved, public entries appear in the gallery, sorted by most voted or most recent.
  4. Members vote. Each member can vote once per entry.
  5. When the contest closes, the most-voted entries are ranked and the prizes are awarded.

Rules

  • Entries are only accepted while the campaign is active and within its dates, and before the contest is closed.
  • Each member can submit up to the campaign's total maximum. If you do not define it, the cap is 20 entries.
  • Only approved, public entries can be voted on. Viewing the gallery does not require an account; voting does.
  • Closing only counts approved, public entries. Ties are resolved by order of arrival.
  • If there is no approved entry, closing does nothing and the contest stays open.
  • The contest closes only once. Repeating the close returns the winners already saved.
  • If the campaign has an associated game, the game's active prizes are distributed in ranking order. Points prizes are credited to the winner's balance.
